You also knew or should have known, that, if something goes wrong with the service/repair, the forum member that "helped" you wouldn't be able to cover the cost of a wrecker, or pay some other shop to fix what went wrong. The forum member is doing this "on the side". He's trying to make some extra coin and help you save some extra coin. After reading about this experience, why would any forum member want to help anybody with their Z? The guys that can't/won't work on their cars themselves, don't understand that "shit happens" sometimes. And when it does, they think that they dropped their car off at a Dealer/ProShop and expect that kind of customer service. Reality check! You dropped your car off at some guy's house and he's going to work on it after dinner. Forum Members Beware ! !
